homegrown is a new kind of community garden
Anyone and everyone can get involved! We’re working together to grow a range of edible plants with our local community, for our local community. Come along to help out in the garden, talk to the chickens or pick your own veggies.
The Milligan Community Garden feeds the Really Really Free Cart with great fresh produce and eggs all year round. Feel free to share any excess produce from your own home garden on the cart, located outside the garden gates at 35 Milligan Street.
The Milligan Community Garden is currently open from 10 – 2pm on Tuesdays. Gates shut? Come inside to enter the garden via Milligan. There’s also heaps of fresh produce on offer in the gardens around the building. Help yourself!
We’re also running regular Garden Club sessions where we’ll be working on jobs in the community garden together. You’re welcome to come along to participate however you choose… do some weeding, plant something new, or make some pesto in the kitchen… we’re happy to chat about how you can get involved! You can find upcoming dates on our events page.
Everything is free and everyone is welcome.
