Really Really Free Market

An awesome community initiative on the third Saturday of the month – where everything is really, really free! It’s a simple idea – bring stuff you’d like to share and put it on a table. If you have nothing to bring, just bring yourself – we would love to see you! Then check out all the other free stuff, you never know what you might find! Join us for a coffee, do a puzzle or pick something from the garden.

What can you bring? Seedlings, muffins, toys, books, your musical skills, or any talent you feel like sharing! Just remember to take home anything that is still left over at the end – unfortunately we can’t store left over items.

Our Shout

It’s people in pubs singing songs! A free event where people from all over the Bunbury Region come together to be with other humans and sing some classic pub songs, led by our very talented choir leads. No musical talent is required (we promise!) and it’s guaranteed to make you smile.

humanKind

Immerse yourself in humanKind.

Experience how one small gesture of human kindness transforms into a mass of human connection.

humanKind is an interactive art installation where the participants listen to a collection of compliments we’ve collated from local people. It’s a moving experience to listen to the emotive words of strangers and, we hope, the participants will be inspired to do the same, letting those around them know how they feel about them.

I wish this was, Bunbury

Milligan believes in the positive power of community activism – ‘I wish this was’ is a positive approach to the empty shopfronts in the Bunbury CBD where the local community can make a wish for the kind of things they would like to see pop-up in town.

homegrown

homegrown is a new kind of community garden. Anyone and everyone can get involved! We're working together to grow a range of edible plants with our local community, for our local community. Come along to help out in the garden, talk to the chickens or pick your own veggies.

Everything is free and everyone is welcome.

Milligan + Return-It

Milligan has partnered with Return-It in the Containers for Change refund scheme. When you recycle your eligible bottles and cans, take them to Return-It in Zaknic Place! You still get your usual 10-cent refund for each eligible container PLUS Milligan gets a share of Return-It's annual profits, which goes straight back into your local community. At Return-It Bunbury you can get an instant cash refund or you can now use their drop off service using your own Scheme ID to have your refund deposited into your bank account.

Want to give more? Quote Milligan’s Scheme ID C10793840 to donate your refund to homegrown, Milligan’s Community Garden. You can even drop off your eligible containers to the marked bins at Milligan, donating your refund straight back into your local community.
