Wanna learn about gardening? Got knowledge to share? Or just enjoy tea under the trees? Join us in the homegrown Community Garden each week for Garden Club.
We’ll be working on jobs in the community garden at each Garden Club session. You’re welcome to participate however you choose. Do some weeding, plant something new or make pesto in the kitchen. Drop in for 30 minutes or join us for the whole session. It’s up to you! Have a chat with us about how you can get involved.
Never heard of homegrown? It’s a new kind of community garden. Anyone and everyone can help out and get involved! We’re working together to grow a range of edible plants with our local community. You’re welcome to harvest from the garden and much of the garden’s fresh produce is distributed through the Really Really Free Cart, located outside the garden gates on Milligan Street.
Garden Club sessions are pretty relaxed – No registration is needed. Kids are welcome. Morning tea is provided. BYO lunch or buy something from the food van.
We’d love to see you in the homegrown garden, whatever your interest or gardening level. Regular volunteers are always welcome and green thumbs are optional. Everything is free and everyone is welcome.
